What is Screening State?

2 min. readlast update: 01.23.2024

The 'Screening State' defines whether a Screening is active or not. This feature enables you to align the state of applicants/customers' and accounts in your CRM with GlobalPass, setting them as 'Inactive' in GlobalPass when they become inactive or deactivated in your system. It's important to note that inactive screenings, even if accepted, will not be included in the ongoing AML screening process.

❗ IMPORTANT: Only Accepted status screenings with Active screening state are included in Ongoing AML process, if you have Ongoing AML enabled for that screening type. Rejected Active screenings and Accepted Inactive screenings are never included in Ongoing AML process.

By default, all new screenings are set to Active screening state. You can set screenings as Inactive via API (read more in our documentation), or manually via the screening report (accessible to users with Admin and Screening Manager roles):

undefined

If required, the Active state can later be restored via API or screening report, and such screenings will be included in the ongoing AML process again (given that ongoing AML is enabled for the screening type).

This applies to KYC screenings, Manual ID scans, Individual, Business, and Address AML screenings.

📝Note: Activity state refers to the applicant being active on your platform or needed to be in the ongoing AML screening. When an applicant is not using your plarform and is being ofboarded, you can set their screening to be 'inactive'. This will take out the applicant's screening from ongoing AML screening pool. Here, the activity state does not relate to the applicant's screening status (Accepted or Rejected) and is a separate field for the report.
